Teacher CPD Workshops

With the reintroduction of Computing as a key element of the curriculum and it’s presence in the English Baccalaureate, many IT teachers are finding that they need to significantly up-skill for the new regime. Even though it is still possible for schools to follow an exclusively functional skills / non-computing approach to IT, any school doing is likely be seen as delivering a lower quality range of options.

EduMake is actively developing a range of materials to help teachers grasp, master and deliver the skills needed within the new curriculum and qualifications. These will range from full CPD workshops delivered in or out of school, to directly supporting classroom delivery through student workshops that actively include the teacher, to supporting materials, video tutorials, resource banks, lesson plans, mini schemes of work etc..

Examples of the workshops we are developing cover such diverse aspects of the curriculum as:

Encryption
Number systems, Logic and Machine Code
Programming in Python
Programming for mobile devices
E-Commerce Websites and Databases
Web design / CSS
Programming Raspberry Pi
